Huge 13 Inch Ultabati ‘Caldron’ Singing Bowl –Vibrant C#2 & G#3

Availability: In Stock
Price: £0.00

Huge Himalayan Ultabati Singing Bowl.  C#2 and G#3 Notes (Root & Throat Chakras)

Weight 5 lb 12 oz (2.6 Kilos).  33 x 14.5 cm (approx. 13 x 5 ¾ inches)

This is a huge Himalayan Ultabati Singing Bowl with wonderful vibrant energy and a fantastic low 2nd octave C# when struck with a padded mallet.  However, the note changes to a stunning G#3 when played around the rim with a heavy suede ringer.  It has a huge sustain when the ringer is lifted from the bowl.  With a little water inside, this bowl is also capable of producing nice fountains.

This is an Ultabati Singing Bowl of the finest quality.  This bowl has the typical Ultabati caldron-like form with fine even walls, splayed collar, and thick out-turned downward-sloping lip.  It has a pair of decorative incised lines defining a golden collar below the outer rim and another one high up on the inside.  Below the collar the surface is an attractive mottled brown-black, while the interior of the bowl is a golden yellow with two pairs of concentric circles on the inside floor.   The condition of this handsome bowl is exceptional.

Old singing bowls of this huge size and quality are extremely rare, and the excellent state of preservation of this one suggests that it has been highly prized by its previous keepers.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, a heavy teak and suede ringer, and a padded mallet are all included in the price.

Listen: (3 struck notes and 1 played note with long sustain. The 3 low C#2 struck notes are much more pronounced in reality, but the audio clip picks up the G#3 harmonic).
