Large 11 ½ -inch Ultabati Singing Bowl – Low & Vibrant G2 Note

Availability: In Stock

Large Himalayan Ultabati Singing Bowl.  G Note (Throat Chakra)

Weight 4 lb 8 oz (2.18 Kilos).  29.5 x 14 cm (approx. 11 ½ x 5 ½ inches)

Ultabati Tibetan Singing BowlThis is a large Himalayan Ultabati Singing Bowl with wonderful vibrant energy and an interesting and low gong-like voice…an excellent 2nd octave G fundamental.  The note is the same whether struck or played around the rim with a heavy suede ringer, but there are subtle overtones present that make the bowl particularly nice to listen to close up once the striker or ringer is lifted away.  With a little water inside, this bowl is also capable of producing nice fountains.

This bowl has the typical Ultabati caldron-like form with fine even walls, splayed collar, and thick out-turned downward-sloping lip.  It has a pair of decorative incised lines forming a collar below the outer rim and, unusually, a single line high up on the inside.  And there are a pair of concentric circles on the inside floor of the basin.   The condition of this bowl is excellent.

Ultabati Tibetan Singing Bowl

Old singing bowls of this size and quality are extremely rare, and the excellent state of preservation of this one suggests that it has been highly prized by its previous keepers.

A Tibetan brocade bowl cushion, a heavy teak and suede ringer, and a padded mallet are all included in the price.

Listen: (2 struck notes and 1 played note)

Note: As this is an unusually heavy bowl there will be a surcharge to cover the additional cost of shipping and insurance to destinations outside the UK.  Overseas buyers will later be invoiced at cost for any shipping and insurance shortfall (estimated to be around $100 to USA and Canada).
