Medium A2 Ultabati Singing Bowl – Great Sound & Condition

Availability: In Stock

Medium Himalayan Ultabati Singing Bowl.  A Note (Third Eye Chakra)

Weight 3 lb 5 oz (1.5 Kilos).  26.5 x 13 cm (approx. 10 ½ x 5 ¼ inches)

This is a medium size old Ultabati singing bowl with a beautiful low fundamental 2nd octave A note.  The note is the same whether struck or played around the rim with a heavy suede ringer, but other subtle harmonics are also present when played around the rim, including a low Bb2.   With a little water inside, this bowl will also produce good fountains.

Ultabati Singing BowlThis bowl has the typical Ultabati caldron-like form with fine even walls, splayed collar, and thick out-turned downward-sloping lip.  It is a very pretty bowl, with attractive small hammer marks covering its entire surface inside and out.  It is very nice to the touch and the bronze has an unusual antique coffee colour with a hint of gold.  The modest weight of this largish bowl would make it suitable for the less muscular among us to hold and play.

A Tibetan brocade bowl cushion, a heavy teak and suede ringer, and the padded mallet featured in the photograph are all included in the price.

Listen: (2 struck notes and 1 played note)
