This is a small and shapely antique Naga singing and healing bowl with an excellent and responsive voice – a fifth octave C.  The note is the same whether stuck or played around the rim.

This sturdy little bowl has a strong pedestal, and nice banding forming a collar around the outer rim.  It also benefits from a very long and clear inscription below the banding.

There is a very small cosmetic issue in the floor of the basin where a shallow air bubble or blister has been neatly filled with metal to level the interior surface.  There is no evidence of this on the outer surface.  This work was almost certainly carried out when the bowl was made, and in no way detracts from the general appearance or sound of the bowl.   This is an attractive little bowl that is in excellent structural condition and has the look and feel of age.

A small double-ended teak and suede ringer is included in the price.
