This is a rather pretty little Manipuri singing bowl with nice decorative markings and a silvery antique gold colour.  It’s very well made; smooth on the inside and with attractive hammer markings on the outside.  It has a good grooved lip, a pair of concentric circles on the inside floor and another pair halfway up the inside wall.

This little bowl also has a very nice singing voice…a middle D.  The note is the same whether struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer, but other harmonics are present if a wooden ringer is used.  A small double-ended teak and suede ringer is included in the price.
