Ultabati Singing Bowl. Notes: G2 & C#4  (Throat & Root Chakras)

Weight 810 grams (1 lb 12 ½ oz )  Size 21 x 9.5 cm (8 ¼ x 3 ¾ inches)

Antique Ultabati singing bowls are now quite rare.  This vibrant thin-walled antique Ultabati Singing Bowl has an excellent low second octave G2 fundamental (97/98Hz) struck or played around the rim with a suede ringer.  The G2 rim note readily evolves into a lovely middle C#4 (276Hz) and the two notes sing beautifully in harmony.   The vibrant energy of this bowl will also produce fountains if played with a little water inside.

This bowl has very fine walls and a simplified form for an Ultabati, although it retains the distinctive caldron-like body, scooped collar and sheered lip.  There are decorative circles at its centre, now faint, and a single line encircling the outer rim.

This old Ultabati Singing Bowl bowl shows signs of long use but is structurally sound and clean, with an attractive golden bronze colour.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, a padded striker and a ringer are all included in the price.
