Antique Lingam Singing Bowl.  Notes: G#3 & Eb5 (Throat & Solar Plexus Chakras)
Weight 944 grams (2 lb 1 ¼ oz).   Size 19 x 9 cm (7 ½ x 3 ½ inches)

This unusual antique Lingam Singing Bowl combines the rare lingam form with that of the popular but uncommon Remuna shape to produce an interesting bowl with a uniquely beautiful sound.   Both bowls types are renowned for their distinctive and exquisite voices, and this bowl is no exception.

The fundamental note is a really lovely third octave G#3 (212Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer. The rim note changes to a powerful and penetrating perfect pitch fifth octave Eb5 (625Hz) with a wooden ringer.

This is a very attractive and well-crafted bowl with a gracefully curved wall of even thickness, and a fine level grooved lip. There is a neat nipple-shaped lingam at its centre surrounded by circles, and a deep centrally-placed navel or yoni underneath.

The subtle hammer markings covering the surface of this bowl are particularly attractive, and it is sensually smooth and pleasing to hold and play. The structural condition is excellent, clean and stain-free, and it has a glorious antique golden bronze colour.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a double-ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.

A rare and stunning antique Lingam Singing Bowl with a two fabulous voices!
