Antique Singing Bowl.  Eb4 (Solar Plexus Chakra)

This antique singing bowl has an interesting and unusual form with its pronounced out-turned and flat grooved lip, low profile and bulbous belly.  There are several decorative circles on the inside floor, and a pair of incised lines around the middle of the belly.  It has a nice golden colour, and is virtually blemish-free and in good condition. 

The shape of this bowl makes it slightly self-amplifying and the fundamental note is a nice mid octave Eb (307Hz).  The note is the same whether struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer, but a wooden ringer will produce a fifth octave A note (864Hz).

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a double-ended teak and suede ringer is included in the price.
