Antique Jambati Singing Bowl.   Notes: G#2 & D4 (Throat & Sacral Chakras)

Weight 4 lb 7 oz. (2.01 kilos).   Size 28 x 12.5 cm (11 x 5 inches)

This large 11” antique Jambati Singing Bowl has an excellent and interesting voice...a low second octave G# fundamental (101Hz) that is usually accompanied by a flickering D4/Eb4 (300Hz/302Hz) harmonic when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer.

This well-crafted 19th century bowl has even walls and a sheered lip, circles at the centre, and a single incised band forming a decorative collar around the outer rim.

This handsome antique bowl is structurally sound, clean and stain-free, with some light surface patches of copper oxidization. The 'leapard spot' hammer markings on the outer wall are particularly attractive and contrast nicely with the golden bronze.

A padded striker and a suede ringer are included in the price.

Listen: (3 struck notes and 2 played notes, suede ringer then wood)
