Antique Jambati Singing Bowl.   Notes: Bb2 & F4 (Crown & Heart Chakras)

Weight 2 lb 11 ¼ oz. (1.2 kilos).   Size 22.5 x 11 cm (8 ¾ x 4 ¼ inches)

This is a small 8 ¾” Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with finely hammered smooth walls, a sheered lip, and circles at its centre.  It benefits from a dot-punched inscription below the outer rim, which is a fair indication of the importance of this bowl to a former keeper.

The fundamental note is a second octave Bb/B (119/120Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer, when it is accompanied by a middle F harmonic (357Hz)...the two notes singing together.

It is structurally sound, clean and blemish free, and has an attractive bright golden bronze colour.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, a small padded striker, and a double-ended teak and suede ringer are all included in the price.

Listen: (2 struck notes and 1 played note with suede ringer)
